A win-back campaign is a marketing campaign aimed at re-engaging customers who have previously done business with a company but have not made a purchase or interacted with the company for a period of time. The goal is to convince these "lost" (c.f. churned clients) customers to return to the company and make a purchase again.
Win-back campaigns can be initiated through a variety of channels, such as email or social media, and typically offer some type of incentive or promotion to entice customers back. For example, a win-back campaign might offer a discount on a customer's next purchase, free shipping, or a complimentary product or service.
Win-back campaigns can be an effective way to re-engage customers (c.f. at-risk customers) and generate incremental revenue for a company. However, they require a targeted and strategic approach, as well as careful consideration of timing, messaging, and incentives to be successful.
